Differences in emissions regulations is between states is becoming a larger issue as more cars are sold on line and shipped across state boundaries. Does anyone know what is required to convert a new car with a Federal Emissions System to a 50 State or Massachusetts Compliant Emissions System?

I am not aware that there are that many different regs. I handle the the maint schedules for the second largest fleet in the U.S. We move vehicles from state to state constantly. We are the Federal Fleet..and even so, we still have to meet emissions regs. Most states have adopted Calif emissions now, about all of the East Coast has. What year is your car?
