My transmission was working fine, Easter Sunday I took it out and went to New Jersey and I lost all my overdrive gears. Can anybody help me with this problem or what to look for that would cause this ti happen.

Looks like Fred has you covered. All I can add is be sure to use Amsoil gear lube.

I had the same problem with my 85 - my button for overdrive was on the top of the shifter. It turned out to be the overdrive switch that is below the shifter. I believe there is a cable that goes down inside the shifter from the button to the switch. It was a rather difficult replacement that I couldn't tackle myself. I took it to Stoudt in Reading Pa where I purchased it and they did an excellent job of replacing it while I waited.
