battery dead key in back willnot open door ??how do I open hood to charge battery????

2005s do require the gear shift to be put in reverse. Otherwise the electronic systems remain active and run down the battery. another Big Brother (US Govt.) is watching over you decision

correct. the key opens the truck lid and there is a pull cord there to unlock the doors. i also heard, that for the 05-06's, you need to put the car in reverse when you kill the motor and leave it parked ....strange, but true the dealer said as well as others.

use key in a spot above your rear marker to open trunk once opened there is a pull cord to open the driver door then pull hood lever open and you should be all set
