I was having trouble with the hood staying down on the passenger side. I read that to stop this the cross cable or the latches themselves needed adjutment. Well here goes the problem...........I was adjusting the two items and in small increments. It just seemed to not want to grab. THEN...............CLUNK!.......it grabbed. NOW it wont came open. Has anyone out there done this really dumb thing and know how to get it unlatched? If so PLEASE let me know how to fix my fupa with any hood damage.

It happens - don't panic. If you look down the windshield and under the rear edge of the hood you will see a rubber plug in a hole directly behind the latch mechanism. The plug can be pushed out and you will see the release lever of the mechanism. Push it with a screw driver and the latch will release.
