1954 air filter

Just did an engine rebuild. When we add the air filter manifold the power and performance drops significantly. Anyone experience that and have any ideas?

Searching for a certain 1962 Corvette?

Hope everyone is doing well. I am searching for a 1962 Honduras Maroon Corvette my father, and mother owned from 1962-1967. It had a black top, and black interior. Dad purchased it from a lady at the Pentagon in 1962, while he was in the Air Force. Any information on the car?s possible owner(s)/location, or how to possibly find the car would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. -Hardin-

Driveline Rubbing On Underbody

I have a '65 roadster. Under hard launches it sounds like the drive-line is rubbing on the under-body of the car. Is their a way to fix this problem?? AndyB

Al Knoch seat covers
|
I am doing a restoration on a 57 Corvette. I have heard other rumors of people NOT being satisfied with the fit, and or the wear of the Al Knock wafffle pattern seat covers.
Anyone know of any problems. I have also heard good things from other people about his entire line of interior products??

1956 Corvette - grinds while shifting to first gear
|
I purchased a 1956 all original corvette this year. Runs well, but grinds when shifting into first gear. Took it to transmission shop and they rebuilt transmission, replaced clutch and flywheel. Still grinds, with no improvements after all the work. The transmission shaft is still spinning after shifting to neutral. Shop wanted to ream out pilot bushing, but never did. They also did not try this, but as I picked the car up after 4 months at the shop, they suggested putting a shim on the flywheel.
Anybody experienced this issue on a vintage 3 speed vette? Any suggestions?

Engine oil for 1958 C1 Corvette

I am a Brit who has just purchased a long awaited 1958 Corvette dream car. I have been scanning the internet for advice on a good engine oil to use in the beautiful old V8 engine. Any advice from owners of similar cars would be very much appreciated. I am only two weeks into ownership and I cannot stop smiling every time I look at this wonderful iconic car (-:

1962 MSD fuel injection system
|
I am considering installing an electronic fuel injection system on my 1962. It has the original 250 horsepower engine with a 4 barrel carburetor and I have had trouble this hot summer with it vapor locking. Anybody out there have experience with electronic fuel injection systems on this car? I know Holly, Edelbrook and MSD make these systems.

Inter State Emission System Issues
|
Differences in emissions regulations is between states is becoming a larger issue as more cars are sold on line and shipped across state boundaries.
Does anyone know what is required to convert a new car with a Federal Emissions System to a 50 State or Massachusetts Compliant Emissions System?
